For three full days on the Amalfi Coast, spend the first near Marina d’Albori, the second exploring Vietri sul Mare and the third on one coastal excursion. Treat travel days separately.
Day one: arrive in the place, not just the house
Make the first full day deliberately light. Get familiar with the access route, work out what you need for meals and leave a generous stretch of time by the sea. Free sea access is close by, around 15 metres from the property, so there is no need to plan a special outing for it; a lido nearby rents sunbeds and umbrellas if you would rather not carry your own down the steps. Before swimming, assess local conditions and any instructions on site. Avoid promising yourself a boat outing immediately after a delayed flight: settling in is part of the holiday, not time lost.
Day two: Vietri at walking pace
Choose a morning or afternoon for Vietri’s lanes and ceramic workshops. Allow time to look closely rather than scheduling several towns. Ask a maker about the piece you are considering and how it should be used or transported. Combine the visit with a meal, then return with enough energy for the final steps. The town centre and the marina are distinct parts of the outing.
Day three: choose one coastal journey
Make Amalfi your main destination if the current connections suit you. Start with the return timetable, then decide how long to spend in town. Ravello is an optional extension requiring a land connection and extra time; it should replace another activity, not simply be added to an already full day. If sea services are unsuitable, keep the day local or choose a checked land route.
Adjust the plan to your actual stay
Three nights are not always three full days: arrival and departure times change what is realistic. Keep the last morning free of distant excursions, especially before a flight or train.
